Cleanfield
CLEANFIELD 480 SL is a ‘non selective’ herbicide that provides complete control against various weed species. When applied as foliar spray, it is absorbed into the leaf surfaces and translocated into the root system, thus killing both above and underground parts of the weeds.
HOW IT WORKS?
- CLEANFIELD 480 SL is absorbed by the leaves which is the main plant organ responsible for food production.
- Because of its systemic action, it moves into the vascular tissues of the plant inhibiting the EPSPS enzyme which prevents amino acid synthesis needed for protein biosynthesis thereby impeding the Photosynthesis process.
- This result to stopping the manufacturing of food by the plant which eventually leads to withering 4-7 days after application.
- Within 2 weeks’ time, roots starts to die due to exhaustion of food reserve.
- Weeds will be completely dead 2 weeks after application of the herbicide.
